I just love it! This is where my "mothering" skills conflict too..I want to be a good mom and let them help out but sometimes my sanity is on the line haha...Hope you find some alone time to do some more of that dirty work :)
They all look great Kate! Love those pants!
Love the stencil! It's hard to get good help these days! I know the feeling well! Nic
The screen prints look fabulous, but for me, the applique wins! I love the depth of the print fabric, still gorgeous..Lizziexxx
I love them Kate! Gorgeous with black on the fabrics!
Love those wisteria leaves! You have some great "old" pillow cases, don't you?
Ah yes, the " little assistant" Busy pipes up with is ther a job for me - which can be the most minor of things , this seems to satisfy er, I love the cblack leaves on the white onesie- very striking!
The leaf applique pants look wonderful, and the frill just finishes them off! It breaks my heart when I yell at the spawn and the tears well up and say "help you, help you" The screen printing looks cool though, good luck on some quiet time!
I love her keeness to help out. You've got a good recipe but yes, perhaps just the dry ingredients when she's lending a hand.
i LOVE your appliques and those pants are too cute! your stencils are just as delightful!
The screen prints look great, but I really love the applique. Little helpers can be a challenge though.
Fantastic work! I love the results :)
Looks great, what a great helper you've got. Those finished pants are just adorable. xx
The pants are gorgeous Kate! I love that wisteria design and Miss Pepper's artwork is beautiful too - her colour choice is great!
Its funny how those helpers can actually slow you down! Love the screenprint :-)
this looks like such fun. i once did a screen printing process for work, the artists I assisted made beautiful peices with lots of spots and blots, but I found they can be rinsed out carefully if you get them while they are wet. Maybe you can dye it another darker colour?
That print is lovely :-) I'm lucky my helpers go to school, although not today one is home sick so no playing today for me!
So I'm totally coming to your house so you can have to joy of teaching me screen printing. Thanks in advance... ;o)P's dacks are way cool!Ab x
Kids just love helping dont they:) Have 2x helpers here that I would not trade for the world (which is why I get heaps of knitting done - They both want to help 'stitch' when I have the machine out)
So let me know when Abbe's arriving and I'll meet ya there - two students for the price of one!I just love the way you say oh so casually "so I cut out a stencil". Super impressive Kate!
The screen prints (and the pants) look amazing. Definately a job for when they are otherwise occupied. My 3 year old tried to help me with my hot glue gun yesterday. Nearly gave me heart failure!
Mummy's little helper, how lovely! She looks like the little storybook character from 'We help Mummy' too. Your screen printing looks great...and I love the applique.
I attempted some gocco-ing last week. Always guaranteed to bring the 'helpers' out of the woodwork, they'd probably say it was an unmitigated success! Ahem.
Beautiful pants! Ahh wisteria. I'm loving that onesie too.
My girls are wild about screen printing too. Its one of those deep breath moments when they join in and the tiny fingerprints end up everywhere... Love the onesie. The wisteria has turned out beautifully, Kate.
I love it on the little bubba bodysuit...
Hey Kate, I love the black leaf against the white, & the row of printed fabric, looks ace. Hope you are having a happy day honey xo
What a good little helper!
They look fantastic Kate. But I can see why a little helper might not be...well, helpful.
Love the screen printing Kate. Love the little helper too!
so sweet!I love how you take an idea and apply it to so many things Kate. So very creative.
it does get tricky sharing tasks!they are so sure that they can do everything too :)
Those pants are magic!! Love your little helper...I have one too...but mine likes to put everything in her mouth. Gotta laugh though. I love your space...always makes me feel calm and inspired. Ta Kate, you're a gem ! :)
No do it when your little ones are around so they can take over when they're older!! Love Posie
Nothing like bringing out the paint to attract the kidlets. xo
looks like fun all round ; ) love the leave design and the colour of those cords is gorgeous love the ruffles!
Why do little helpers have the ability to create the worlds biggest mess!?Love all of it though!
i adore the applique and the screen print. you got the shape exactly right.
The screen print look fantastic- love it -Cecilie
I love your screen printed motif, Kate. Obviously your small helper is more helpful than my small helpers (I could only do printing around them if I wanted every surface in the house to be covered in ink!)
Love the ruffles on her pants. I love how you're using that stencil so much- it is just so gorgeous and will never get old! xo m.
I am so incredibly jealous that you can screen print, I have always wanted to learn how to do this. You are so talented.
Love the contrast of the black on the pastel print!
Love that you have all the equipment and skills for screen printing. Cool!Alissa @ http://craftalicious-caper.blogspot.com/
They look fabulous Kate! I wonder is it easy to screen print? Wouldn't mind giving it a try one day. So many things can be done with it, it seems!Could you maybe incorporate the little marks made by your sweet helper into some sort of extra design around the neck? Like it was meant to be? :))
I love that stencil and my favourite would be the lilac t-shirt! I also love Pepper's pants - could a mid-30's chic get away with a pair do you think? Great stuff as always - you make me want to sew rather than study!!
Those pants are just SENSATIONAL!! xx
Thanks so much for stopping by...I do read every single comment you leave and appreciate it very much, but I should let you know that I can be a wee bit on the useless side when replying to comments, that's just me, everyday life sometimes gets in the way....so I'll apologise now, just in case.
